Carey Cornett, DVM

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Carey Cornett to our practice.  Dr. Cornett has more than 19 years of experience, including both private practice and the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps.  Her special interests include internal medicine and dentistry.

Dr. Cornett grew up in an Air Force family, living in a few different states before ending up in Louisiana.  She earned her veterinary degree at Louisiana State University in 2004.  After graduating, she served 4 years in the Army Veterinary Corps, taking care of military working dogs and service members’ pets in Japan as well as working in combat casualty care research at Walter Reed.

Dr. Cornett currently lives in Takoma Park with her husband and daughter.  She loves reading, baking, and going to amusement parks with her family.
